Greystone at Inverness - Pet of the Month!

July 2008 Pet of the Month

I’d like to introduce you to Lady Layla, a miniature Pincher who is my dearest companion.  Layla is a rescued dog I received as a gift from my daughter and son.  She is very boisterous and enthusiastic and loves people but I think her barking scares some people off!  She goes with me on my nightly rounds and is our “neighborhood watch co-captain”.  She certainly lets me know when there is someone or something in the area when we are out walking.  Layla is nine years old and thinks she’s still a puppy.  When I’m walking her on Old Moon Road people think she’s pulling me along in my Jazzy Electric Wheelchair.  I guess we make quite a sight at that.  If we were back up in Pennsylvania she could be my sled dog!  She is truly a very gentle pet and so much company.  When you see us out walking please don’t be afraid of her…she’s just a big woofer at heart.
